Sardinia is to spend €10 million on upgrading infrastructure and improving the accessibility of sustainable transport on the island.
Some €7 million will go towards cycling, specifically creating exclusive bike lanes and connecting the urban areas of Sardinia to the regional cycling network.
The regional government will also implement initiatives that will allow cyclists to take their bicycles on trains and buses.
