The Scottish Government has announced £2.5 million (€3.45 million) funding for its ‘Switched On Fleets’ initiative aimed at decreasing the number of fossil-fuelled vehicles within Scotland’s public sector fleets.

It aims for conversion of local authority vehicle fleets to electric vehicles. It contributes to the devolved administration’s ambitious climate change target of phasing out all petrol and diesel fuelled vehicles by 2050, and has already seen the introduction of over 200 electric vehicles across Scottish local authorities.
