Day 2 of the TESTFEST saw an even bigger turnout with a staggering 17 teams joining us in Dordrecht, 14 from across Europe and three from the Netherlands.

Test drives on the test site grounds were followed by test drives on the A16 in the direction of Rotterdam where road works are in place, with DENM and In-Vehicle-Information messages being transferred. Some of the participants have already begun working with this In-Vehicle-Information, while others continue to make progress.

With over 20 test vehicles on the road, a lot of of logging data is being collected. In the process we also noticed that the participating vehicles are receiving each other’s messages. Unfortunately, one of the teams found a malfunctioning WiFi-p beacon, but this was swiftly corrected.

Overall there is a positive atmosphere at the TESTFEST. When one of the teams joked with a French team about the fact that they are test driving a German car on a Dutch motorway, they responded “We are all European”.
