London’s Metropolitan Police is introducing a new fleet of hundreds of hybrid electric cars to help tackle the UK capital’s poor air quality.
The police force, which is responsible for the Greater London area, will undergo major overhaul of its vehicle fleet of some 4 000 vehicles.
The Metropolitan Police has already stopped buying new diesel cars and wants to put around 250 hybrid electric or alternative energy vehicles on the roads in London in the next 12 months.
