The port of Antwerp, one of the ports under the EU funded project COREALIS, along with the Port of Los Angeles, will be the playground of innovation for the initiative “Ports of the Future” during the first simultaneous chainPORT hackathon event, which will take place at the port of Antwerp on October 12-13.  Twelve Chainport Hackathon Partners are developing leading-edge processes and technology, advocating and shaping industry policy and focusing on 6 different challenges of the maritime sector: Mobility and sustainable modal shift, interport, safety and security, process and document flow, sustainability and education through gamification.

About ERTICO and COREALIS

By capitalising on its knowledge and experience in CO-GISTICS, AEOLIX, LEARN, and NOVELOG projects,  ERTICO’s role in COREALIS will be to involve and liaise with multi stakeholder groups such as decision makers from port authorities and in specific port operations and asset managers, port IT infrastructure managers. ERTICO will play a key role in bridging smart cities and smart ports via events, conferences and congresses involving also public administration, shipping and trucking companies, road and rail operators and ICT service providers.
