This year, TISA will be present at the ITS World Congress that takes place in Tokyo from 14 to 18 October. TISA will host a special session (SIS24) titled “TPEG services on a global scale” on 16 October. The session will introduce TPEG services that are currently operated worldwide, as well as ongoing development work. This session will provide an excellent overview of TPEG applications already standardised as well as detailed information of how to engage in work currently under development within TISA. In addition to Matthias Unbehaun, TISA Executive Director, other speakers include: Zhenning Dong, General Manager in Traffic Info Division, AutoNavi Software Co., Ltd (China); Adam Game, CEO, Intelematics (Australia); Saurav Bhattacharyya, CEO, Quantum Inventions (Singapore); Joseph d’Angelo, Senior Vice-President, iBiquity (USA); and Jim O’Neill, CEO North America, GEWI (USA).
 
On Thursday 17 October, TISA President Thomas Kusche will moderate the Executive session “Progressing safety for all users through ITS” (ES08). The session will focus on the safety contribution of ITS for all users (including drivers, cyclists and pedestrians) and discuss how to ensure that road safety is a primary objective of utilising new transport technology.
TISA will welcome visitors at the European Pavilion (stand 122) every day to tell more about its activities and membership.
