To reach this ambitious goal\, the city council has adopted a comprehensive and targeted carbon reduction plan. The intelligent street lighting project is a part of the carbon reduction plan to make street lights in Copenhagen more energy efficient\, aiming at reducing the energy consumption by 50%. The project can be considered as a complex infrastructure investment. This is due to the fact that the city had a plan for renewing a part of the lighting system across city to help reaching the goals for optimising the energy consumption and infrastructure renovation. Moreover\, the LED world is a fast developing technology and how to ensure what you buy is not quickly out of market. \nThe tender process of the project used innovation procurement procedures in order to ensure appropriate products and system being purchased and a long term success of the project. A 250 million Danish Krone (about 33 million euro) contract was awarded for installing the new street lighting system in the city and 12 year maintenance. Louise Rathleff\, the program manager and Stine Ellermann\, the contract manager\, will give detailed description of the procurement of the intelligent street lighting and share their knowledge and lessons learnt from the procurement. \nModerator (invited)\n\nAnja De Cunto\, EUROCITIES\n\nSpeakers\n\nLouse Rathleff\, Program manager\, City of Copenhagen\nStine Ellermann\, Contract manager\, City of Copenhagen\n\n\n\n\nOrganisers \nThis webinar is organised by the SPICE project (www.spice-project.eu).
