DESCRIPTION:The Urban Freight Platform invites you to the VREF conference on Urban Freight 2016.\n\n\nThe second international conference organised by the Urban Freight Platform will discuss the complexity of freight transport in urban areas with a focus on the need to share space both at the city and regional level.\n\nTopics will include:\n\n\nsharing space for freight and passenger transport\,\nhow we can plan for better use of space with cities becoming denser\,\nthe need to consider a regional dimension\,\nhow we can change behaviour and achieve change.\n\n\n\nThis conference consists of two parts: \n\nCurrent issues in urban freight research\, Monday 17 October: A series of presentations of academic papers on the basis of submitted abstracts (in oral and poster form) in short presentations in a number of parallel streams.\nPlan for the future – sharing urban space\, Tuesday and Wednesday 18 & 19 October: A series of invited presentations\, panels and break-out sessions discussing innovative solutions that consider the perspectives from public authorities\, transport operators\, shippers\, receivers\, architects\, planners\, other industry stakeholders and researchers concerned with urban goods movement.\n\n\nClick here to register for the conference.

DESCRIPTION:ITS Singapore is co-organising the Singapore International Transport Congress and Exhibition (SITCE)\, together with LTA and UITP. It will be held from 19-21 October 2016. The theme for this year’s SITCE is “Innovating Transport for Liveable Cities” and it would be held at Suntec Singapore. Attached please find the event brochure and the partners prospectus. \nThe SITCE 2016 will focus on innovative solutions for urban transport systems and will bring together authorities\, policy-makers\, urban planners\, transport operators as well as solution providers.
