SUMMARY:Webinar – The future of Freight
DESCRIPTION:In the freight and logistics transport sectors\, the reduction of real driving emissions and transition to green alternatives is the main societal challenge. The STORM project will contribute to outline novel horizons for those areas through review and assessment of the current trends and technology drivers\, to identify prospects for deployment of future innovative operational scenarios and business models and provide recommendations to various actors and stakeholders from both transport domains. \nThe STORM webinar “The future of Freight” will be held online on 17 June 2021 at 15:00-16:30 CET and will provide an insight on the project’s activities\, topics and challenges for the freight sector\, with two main focus points: policy and technologies. \nAttendance to the webinar is free of charge\, and you can register here. Download the agenda here. \nYou can also find more information on the project’s activities on the official website  and social media (Twitter and LinkedIn).

SUMMARY:European Truck Platooning Challenge Virtual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The European Truck Platooning Challenge (ETPC) community will virtually meet on 20 January to discuss the latest news on Truck Platooning and developments; held twice a year\, the ETPC meetings bring together stakeholders and foster the exchange of information on and promote the market uptake of truck platooning. This virtual meeting will focus on the current developments of platooning in Europe\, presenting the European project ENSEMBLE and ERTICO’s involvement and activities in the field of automation and platooning and the project AEROFLEX which is working to develop and demonstrate new technologies\, concepts and architectures for complete vehicles with optimised aerodynamics\, powertrains and safety systems. \nA look on overseas deployments will be provided by Richard Bishop\, who will share the latest news from the USA. From the other side of the world\, we will hear from Prof. Yanjun Shi from the Dalian University of Technology\, who will present the Chinese pilot for the 5G MOBIX European project and their truck platooning use case. \nParticipation is free and open to professional and stakeholders working in the field of automation and ITS via this link.
