The 21st TAP conference will take place in Lyon (France) with the aim of bringing together scientists\, international experts\, users and decision makers to share their contributions on the current scientific knowledge of air pollution due to emissions from transport systems. Public authorities and state or local government agencies with jurisdiction over transport or air quality\, community groups\, operators\, commercial carriers\, nonprofit and other business entities are invited to participate and are welcome. \nTransport sectors play a strategic and major role in the global market and fast changing economic and societal frame. Technologies\, policies and citizen behaviors must be continually adapted towards the reduction of fossil energy and the increasing demand for mobility etc. \nThe 21st International Transport and Air Pollution Conference\, organized by the French Institute of Science and Technology for Transport\, Development and Networks (IFSTTAR) – Mobility\, Planning and Environment Department (AME) will take place from May 24th (8:30 am) to 26th\, 2016 (6:00 pm) in Lyon (France) at the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS of Lyon). SUMMARY:Improving Access to Healthcare through Intelligent Mobility
DESCRIPTION:  \nA workshop for everyone with an interest in transport\, health care delivery and developing age friendly transport. \nCo-design for service innovation is increasingly used to encourage user engagement in the human-centred design of complex systems and services. The biggest challenge in designing transport services with mobility in mind requires consideration of the public\, the decision makers and the system itself. The challenge is in the match of these systems of user requirements and data that is often beyond transport related. \nThis 2-days participatory workshop will show how open innovation and data-driven design can be realised through co-design with a human-centred approach for transport services. We will be working on a real problem – improving access to health care facilities for elders – which has been highlighted as a priority by the Age Friendly City Initiative in Coventry. Although some discussions may have a Coventry focus\, the problems\, methods and co-created solutions will be applicable to cities in the UK. The workshop will make possible an interaction between users\, stakeholders and the related data in order to achieve open innovation for a human-centred mobility services. \n

DESCRIPTION:From 11th to 15th of July 2016 the Big Data Center of Excellence (ScaDS Dresden/Leipzig) is excited to host its first summer school for Big Data in Leipzig. The attractive program aims at students and young graduates\, as well other academic and industrial practitioners and researchers that operate in the field of Big Data. We plan to offer an inspiring mix of motivating keynotes\, online trainings\, classes and excursions. The summer school teaches the basics of working with large and complex amounts of data and provides an overview of relevant approaches and solutions. Thus\, the participants can gain an insight into current research areas and acquire basic practical Big Data skills. Furthermore\, there will be plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas and to discuss the topics with other participants and speakers. The talks and keynotes in the morning will be held in english.
