SUMMARY:SHOW project Final Event: Achievements and the road ahead
DESCRIPTION:After nearly five years\, the SHOW project is coming to a close. This immense undertaking has involved almost 80 partners across 13 countries and 22 pilot sites. \nThrough real-world operations\, SHOW has generated a wealth of knowledge by directly addressing the mobility needs of passengers and logistics clients. Our pilots have driven hundreds of thousands of kilometres\, and we have completed numerous passenger rides safely\, providing valuable data on everything from vehicle performance to user experience. \nThe SHOW Final Event will take stock of all project achievements\, with a look forward to how that knowledge can be applied and replicated by cities\, PTOs and industry now and in the future to ensure CCAM services can fulfil their potential and help deliver sustainable\, inclusive and efficient mobility.  \nThe SHOW Final Event takes place on Thursday 26 September in Tampere\, Finland with a full-day conference programme followed by a networking reception. There will also be ample opportunities to experience the AV operations at the local pilot site.  \nRegister now!!\nLocation \nThe conference programme takes place at the Scandic Tampere City Hotel\, in Tampere city centre.  \nThe Tampere pilot site has operated a mixed fleet of vehicles on a variety of routes\, as part of the SHOW project. DESCRIPTION:The Transportation Research Board (TRB) 2025 Annual Meeting\, taking place from 5-9 January 2025\, is a prestigious event that will feature over 4\,000 presentations across more than 650 sessions and workshops\, offering a comprehensive look at advancements and challenges across all transportation modes. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganised by TRB’s volunteer technical committees\, the meeting will include 400+ meetings by standing committees and three days of exhibits showcasing the latest in transportation-related products and services. Attendees can expect comprehensive coverage\, with almost every transportation mode and topic represented. \nChairman of ERTICO\, Dr Angelos Amditis will contribute to two key sessions\, showcasing thought leadership and engaging in meaningful discussions including a panel discussion on ”The Future of Transportation’ together with senior transportation leaders to explore how cutting-edge technologies and innovations can create a fully integrated\, seamless\, safe\, and efficient transportation system of systems. SUMMARY:ERTICO thought leadership towards Paris
DESCRIPTION:To kick off this new year\, a delegation of ERTICO will participate in various events\, exchanging knowledge\, taking up the discussion points of last year and continue engaging in discussions of forthcoming trends and new opportunities ahead.  \nOn 21 January\, our CEO Joost Vantomme will first join the ATEC ITS France Congress to meet and connect with colleagues from the region and discuss the next ITS European Congress taking place in the neighbouring country of Seville\, Spain from 19-21 May. \nThe following day\, ERTICO is invited by the International Transport Forum (ITF) of OECD\, as a special invitee by Young Tae Kim\, Secretary General of the ITF. We have been invited to organise dedicated training and knowledge-sharing sessions with the ITF community. Joost Vantomme will be joined by a delegation of the ERTICO team\, Director of Strategy & Innovation\, Vlad Vorotovic and Senior Managers\, Ralf Willenbrock\, and Vassilis Agouridas. The special lectures with the ITF team will be focused on cutting-edge innovation and technologies shaping the future transformation of transport\, including Connected\, Cooperative & Automated Mobility (CCAM)\, new urban transport solutions\, innovative aerial services\, ITS for logistics\, data and Artificial Intelligence (AI). This lecture\, titled “Smart Mobility\, Sustainable Solutions: Transforming Transport for a Digital Future” will be a unique opportunity to discuss how technology\, and its governance for responsible innovation\, are driving the shift worldwide towards smarter and more sustainable mobility\, as well as to learn from the perspective of a leading organisation driving innovation and collaboration on the topic. \nITF and ERTICO have a strong cooperation and we are pleased with having Mr Young Tae Kim\, Secretary General of ITF\, as a regular guest and speaker in the ITS congress cycle. \nStay tuned for more updates following these key engagements.

SUMMARY:Innovative Projects take center stage at the RTR Conference 2025
DESCRIPTION:ERTICO – ITS Europe is excited to join the 8th edition of the RTR Conference\, a flagship event showcasing the impact of EU-funded research in transport. This event aligns closely with the joint commitment to advancing innovation in intelligent transport in Europe\, a core pillar of the ERTICO mission.  \nAlongside CEO Joost Vantomme\, and Director of Innovation & Strategy\, Vladimir Vorotovic\, the ERTICO team of experts will attend the conference to meet\, listen to and discuss the achievements of the Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects. Offering insights into results\, impacts\, and future directions in key areas such as Green Vehicles\, Urban Mobility\, Logistics\, ITS\, Safety\, and Automated Road Transport\, the RTR Conference will deliver a holistic view of how European research is moving forward by bringing benefits to the environment\, economy\, and European society overall. Over three days\, 23 sessions and over 90 invited projects will be presenting the results of their cutting-edge research\, including projects with ERTICO’s active contribution or support.   \nCoordinated by ERTICO partner ICCS\, the eCharge4Drivers\, which concluded in November last year\, will showcase its key achievements and user-friendly solutions and service towards making Electric Vehicle (EV) charging more convenient for users. These outcomes will be presented by Dr. Vasilis Sourlas\, Head of ITS and CCAM at ICCS\, during parallel session 3 ‘EV charging – advanced solutions benefiting both the user and the grid’ on the first day.  \nKicking off the second day of the conference\, the IN2CCAM project will be showcased by its coordinator\, Maria Pia Fanti\, from Politecnico di Bari (POLIBA). The presentation will take place during parallel session 7\, titled ‘Integration and Large-Scale Demonstration of CCAM Solutions’. Maria will highlight key outcomes achieved by the project so far and encourage further collaboration with other CCAM initiatives.   \nAs part of the 2Zero partnership\, attendees can explore the LeMesurier project in the exhibition area. This initiative evaluates the partnership’s progress toward achieving zero-emissions road transport by analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) outlined in the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) through a comprehensive assessment of 2Zero projects.   \nDuring the last day of the conference\, the SUM project will be part of the ‘New mobility services in cities.’ parallel session in the morning. SUMMARY:SINFONICA Workshop on user-friendly public and shared transport using CCAM
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by ERTICO\, the SINFONICA project is organising a special workshop on 14 February 2025 to explore how Connected\, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) can support user-friendly and inclusive public and shared transport.
