SUMMARY:Trust is a must\, how to deploy CCAM in a safe and trusted manner
DESCRIPTION:Safety is often addressed in CCAM R&I and piloting initiatives with the assumption that it is part of the process to build trust. Numerous large scale demonstrations and pilots are taking place with an objective to test and validate technical developments but are not necessarily addressing the mobility needs of citizens. Beyond raising user awareness\, additional steps are needed to achieve trust. To ensure that society embraces the innovative CCAM solutions that will be developed and deployed\,  these will have to reflect the needs and expectations of future users. \nBuilding on the outcomes of the EUCAD2021 conference\, panellists will discuss the EU ambitions\, lessons learned from EU-funded R&I and shuttle pilot activities\, the role of the CCAM Partnership and how trust can be nurtured from inception to use by involving citizens\, cities and future users in a co-creation process to support the deployment of inclusive\, shared\, human-centric mobility solutions. \nDr Stephane Dreher from ERTICO-ITS Europe will present the results of a meta-analysis of more than 60 Horizon 2020 funded projects on CCAM carried out by partners of the ARCADE support action coordinated by ERTICO with a focus on lessons learned and R&I priorities for trustworthiness and large scale testing. \nPlease use the discount code CCAM to attend this session.

SUMMARY:SHOW 2nd pan-European workshop
DESCRIPTION:On 30 September\, from 11:30 am till 4:30 pm CET\, SHOW will host its 2nd Pan-European Workshop\n“Which path for a meaningful\, sustainable and feasible CCAM in Europe?” \nAfter 1\,5 years and in preparation of the demonstrations next year\, the SHOW partners have developed vehicle technologies\, physical and digital infrastructure\, business models\, impact assessment methods\, as well as added-value services based on AI and Big Data. But the project has also unveiled challenges that need to be addressed in order to ensure a meaningful deployment of CCAV in terms of technical feasibility and sustainability. \nThe workshop represents an unique opportunity to discuss some of the most pressing challenges and debates that are arising. During the event\, speakers from European and national governmental bodies\, industry\, public authorities and academia will use their concrete experiences from the SHOW project and other initiatives to discuss questions\, such as : \n\nWhat is missing in Europe in terms of regulations\, infrastructure\, manufacturing industries\, or even citizens awareness to achieve a CCAM that we would define as meaningful?\nHow do we want to position Europe in comparison with the strong concurrence coming from the USA or several countries from the Asia-Pacific region?\n\nRegistrations are now open! Click here to secure your spot\nWhen registering\, please indicate whether you would like to attend the event in person or online.

SUMMARY:ITS World Congress Hamburg
DESCRIPTION:The ITS Congress is the biggest event focused on smart mobility and the digitalisation of transport. Every year\, ERTICO organises an ITS regional or World Congress in Europe. The Congresses are the yearly celebration of smart mobility: they underline the importance of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)\, particularly in cities and regions where they are hosted and are important channels to raise awareness of smart mobility solutions among policymakers\, experts and the general public. They include live sessions where industry experts present the latest developments in ITS\, a showcase of cutting-edge technology and an exhibition space. \nThe Congresses offer stakeholders and patrons the ultimate platform to meet with industry influencers\, discuss ideas and initiatives\, make new contacts and promote their businesses by taking part in a range of activities. \nThe 2G sanitary plan\n‘Thanks to this format\, visitors to the Congress can interact more freely in a safe and secure environment\, enabling the networking that we have missed for so long. Everyone can enjoy the full Congress experience including the high-level programme\, technical sessions\, exhibition\, demonstrations\, technical visits\, to name but a few of the highlights.’ says Jacob Bangsgaard\, ERTICO CEO. \nUnder the 2G format\, all attendees will need either to be fully vaccinated with one of the 4 EU recognised vaccinations (Moderna\, Pfizer/BioNTech\, Janssen/Johnson&Johnson and Oxford/AstraZeneca) or have proof of full recovery from COVID-19 (presentation of a valid vaccination certificate and/or proof of COVID-19 recovery). According to Harry Evers\, Managing Director\, ITS Hamburg 2021 GmbH\, ‘With these 2G rules\, participants can exchange ideas and network more freely\, which creates a real ITS World Congress atmosphere.’ \nLearn more about the ITS World Congress in Hamburg. \nDiscover the Programme at a Glance. \nRegister here.

SUMMARY:Get to know NAPCORE with this virtual event
DESCRIPTION:Last year\, ERTICO’s TN-ITS innovation platform was granted a major CEF European project award called NAPCORE. The TN-ITS platform develops\, maintains\, supports and deploys the TN-ITS map data update exchange standard\, linking authoritative and regulatory data\, originating by the road authorities to service providers such as digital map makers. The platform focuses on digital map updates and advancing state-of-the-art mobility applications like ISA (Intelligent Speed Assistance). In the future\, the regulatory data will address automated mobility and transport applications. \nTN-ITS services are already taking place in 14 Member States.  NAPCORE creates lots of opportunities for ERTICO’s partnership for a closer engagement with EU Member States\, regional and city authorities\, building further on ERTICO’s City Moonshot and co-operation in other innovation platforms such as MaaS and TM2.0. \nCreated and co-financed as a Programme Support Action by the Connecting Europe Facility of the European Union\, NAPCORE  (National Access Point Coordination Organisation for Europe) aims to coordinate and harmonise all European National Access Points (NAPs) for mobility data. NAPCORE’s goal is to optimise interoperability of NAPs as mobility data platforms through common data standards\, improve access and availability of mobility data throughout Europe\, and strengthen NAPs and National Bodies through common processes and strategies. NAPCORE covers all EU Member States\, and beyond\, with its 70 partners and implementing bodies and three associated partners working to improve interoperability and data availability in the mobility domain in Europe. \nTo give everyone the chance to get to know NAPCORE\, learn what the project is currently working on and what it will accomplish in the near future\, the NAPCORE consortium is hosting a virtual public event on 18 February 9:00-10:00 CET. Registrations are open here. \nThis virtual public event introduces the project and outlines how NAPCORE will support steps towards the creation of European-wide solutions to better facilitate the use of EU-wide data. The event specifically targets interested European mobility data users and stakeholders\, stakeholder groups and associations. \nAgenda: \n• Setting-the-scene: NAPCORE from the EU Commission’s viewpoint\nKristian Hedberg\, Head of Unit B4 at DG MOVE\, European Commission \n• The NAPCORE Steering Committee\nAnna Johansson Jacques\, NAPCORE Steering Committee Chair\, Swedish Transport Administration\, Sweden \n• General Overview of NAPCORE\, its vision and strategy\nTimo Hoffmann\, NAPCORE General Secretary\, Federal Highway Research Institute\, Germany \n• NAP interoperability\, data content and accessibility\nMaria Stavara\, NAPCORE WG3 lead\, Center for Research and Technology Hellas\, Greece \n• NAPCORE-led mobility data exchange standard harmonisation\nBard de Vries\, NAPCORE SWG 4.1 lead\, National Road Traffic Data Portal\, The Netherlands \n• National Bodies harmonisation and NAPCORE Advisory Board\nDamaris Gruber\, NAPCORE Deputy General Secretary\, AustriaTech\, Austria \n• Q & A session \nClick here to register to the event
