DESCRIPTION:Personal data such as video and GPS is collected in many Field Operational Tests (FOT) and Naturalistic Driving Studies (NDS). This data contribute with essential information that e.g. enables an objective view on the driver´s behaviour during different driving scenarios and facilitate map-data enrichment to the collected naturalistic data. The personal data demands though a high level of data protection not to reveal the personal identity outside the group of researcher that has approved access to the data. If the data could be anonymised while still keeping the information that is essential to research\, the access and the re-use of the valuable data would be greatly facilitated. \nThis workshop provides insights into the current state-of-the-art of anonymisation of FOT/NDS data and includes discussions regarding the trends and the possibilities in the future. The main focus will be on harmonised Road Works Warning Services via TPEG and ETSI G5. \nThe purpose of this workshop series is to identify ways to ensure harmonised information flow in order to provide Roadworks Warnings to drivers both via ETSI G5 technology  (as a first “day 1” service) and as Traffic Information (TPEG via Digital Broadcast/IP). DESCRIPTION:Location: Gothenburg\, Sweden \nThe 3rd International Symposium on Future Active Safety Technology Towards zero traffic accidents will be held on September 9-11\, 2015\, in Gothenburg\, Sweden. After two successful events in Japan\, FAST-zero’11 in Tokyo\, and FAST-zero’13 in Nagoya\, the symposium will be held outside Japan for the first time. Sweden is a natural choice for a FAST-zero symposium since the Swedish parliament was the first to announce a Vision Zero policy. The main idea is simple: No loss of life in traffic is acceptable. But the approach is innovative; since humans make mistakes\, instead of making the driver responsible\, vehicles and traffic system solutions must be designed so that accidents are avoided. Focus is on active safety systems\, driver characteristics and human factors\, and autonomous and automatic driving vehicle. SUMMARY:BigDataEurope Workshop at Bordeaux ITS World Congress
DESCRIPTION:The workshop focuses on Big Data in the H2020 Societal Challenge Smart\, green and integrated transport. Participants to this workshop will have the opportunity to influence the design\, and ultimate benefit from the Big Data platform that the BigDataEurope project will deliver. This platform aims to facilitate Big Data usage in real world examples\, and will consist of an architecture\, components\, guidelines and best practices to make the best of Big Data in this case in the setting of transport. \nThe workshop will focus on the elicitation of requirements for Big Data management within the intelligent transport domain. \nThe interactive workshop will consist of three sessions with keynote presentations on the topics of: \n\nBigDataEurope and existing Data-centric initiatives in Transport\nExisting and potential Big Data use-cases and applications in Transport\nTools and technologies Technical requirements for a Big Data Platform in Transport\n\nThe presentations will be followed by a one hour break-out session\, where participants can join one of the three groups on Policy\, Data and Technology\, or Business.  The chairmen of the three break-out groups will report to the Plenary Session and the workshop will be rounded off with a  final Q&A session. \nTo register for the workshop please click through to the ITS World Congress website. \n\nIn case you have already registered for the Congress\, you can modify your registration and add the workshop to your list of associated events.\nIn case you are not an ITS Congress participant\, you will need to follow the Congress registration process and select the BigDataEurope workshop you will attend.
