SUMMARY:SOLUTIONSplus Global Learning Programme
DESCRIPTION:This course programme enables organisations from the public sector to learn about the concept and practical implications of e-mobility. Learners will be introduced to the overall topic\, given examples of electric vehicle types and get introduced to case studies on how to implement e-mobility in an urban mobility concept. \nThe first course of the SOLUTIONSplus global learning programme on electric mobility aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to electric mobility planning and implementation in local contexts. The course is primarily designed for city and regional authorities\, but can provide a solid knowledge base for any stakeholder involved or interested in electric mobility. \nIn addition to lectures and material for self-study\, a kick-off webinar gives key information and guidance about the learning programme and the SOLUTIONSplus project. Virtual exchange sessions are scheduled to accompany the course enabling interactive discussions with and among participants. \nFor the full structure of the first course\, visit the SOLUTIONSplus website.

SUMMARY:C-ITS City Pool - Smart Cooperative Mobility: what Public Authorities have learned and are planning ahead
DESCRIPTION:Register today to the C-ITS City Pool on 15 April from 15:00-16:30 CET and join other public authority representatives for an interactive online discussion on cooperative services for smart mobility. \nAre you a public authority\, road operator or traffic manager? Do you want to know how digitalisation and Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) services are helping making mobility safer\, greener and more efficient? Are you curious about what other cities have achieved and planning ahead? \nSuccessful deployment of smart mobility in our cities requires a digital transformation. This online interactive event will provide access to practical experience\, latest innovation trends and future perspectives in smart mobility enabled by C-ITS. We will navigate through the experience of the C-ITS City Pool in the last three years\, what we have learned from over 30 cities with whom we have interacted during this period\, and share the experience from cities participating in C-MobILE project large scale deployment of C-ITS services. You will then be able to gather insights on future perspectives of innovative solutions for digital and green transformation of urban mobility and harmonisation activity being carried out in the frame of the C-Roads Platform. \n  \nDraft Agenda \nOpening & welcome\, Giacomo Somma\, ERTICO – ITS Europe \nWhat we have learned from the C-ITS City Pool and from cities’ consultations\, Tamara Goldsteen\, City of Helmond \nExperiences and future perspectives on C-ITS deployment\, Jordi Ortuño (Barcelona City Council) and Jos Van Vlerken (City of Copenhagen) \nState of play of urban C-ITS harmonisation\, Pedro Barradas\, C-Roads Platform WG4 \nC-ITS as key digital technology for CCAM\, TM2.0 & MaaS and its relevance for the EU Strategies for a safer\, greener\, more efficient mobility\, Zeljko Jeftic\, ERTICO – ITS Europe \nWrap-up & closing\, Giacomo Somma\, ERTICO – ITS Europe \nParticipation in the C-ITS City Pool online event is free of charge\, but registration is required. \n  \nAbout the C-ITS City Pool and C-MobILE \nSince 2015 the C-ITS City Pool acts as a central meeting point between transport authorities engaged in and benefitting from C-ITS deployment and other cities / regions interested in how C-ITS can improve urban and regional mobility with the aim of raising awareness and supporting deployment. Since March 2018 the C-ITS City Pool has been an integral part of the C-MobILE Stakeholder Forum\, involving traffic managers\, road authorities and operators\, industries\, fleet operators as well as everyday road users (such as professional taxi\, bus or truck drivers\, but also vulnerable road users such as cyclists and pedestrians) with the aim of establishing functioning partnerships. With widespread implementation as the main goal\, the C-ITS City Pool serves as a one-stop-shop for cities and road authorities to receive training\, acquire knowledge\, make connections to share real-life experiences and learn about requirements\, best practices and business opportunities for on-road deployment of Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS). \nThe C-MobILE project is a consortium of 37 partners (public and private) and co-funded by the European Commission under the H2020 Programme. \n  \nREGISTER NOW

SUMMARY:Re-imagining Integrated Mobility Management Systems
DESCRIPTION:What is the new mobility? How do new mobility schemes and concepts better address the needs and demands of today’s societies? How can Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and Mobility on Demand (MoD) become more integrated with other modes? Should integrated mobility management be led by public authorities? What is the role of the private sector? How can traffic management become integrated into the multi-modal mobility system through connectivity? Who responds to the citizens changing demands and expectations? \nExperts from China\, Europe\, and the US will attempt to shed light on these questions by discussing interesting developments in the field and sharing information on possible business models as they are operational in the three continents. \nCo-organised by ERTICO with CHTS\, TRB\, ECTRI\, COTA\, and Shenzhen Bus Company\, this webinar is part of the 2020 Mobility Management Meeting (MMM) series which focuses on exchanging best practices\, solutions and aligning priorities in ITS globally. With the pandemic spreading globally\, the MMM evolved into a multi-theme series of international webinars that brought together academics\, researchers\, and transportation professionals\, academic institutions from China (Southeast University\, Beihang University\, Tongji University\, Beijing University of Technology)\, and industry leaders to discuss emerging and on-going issues on mobility management and beyond. The series of webinars\, which included one dedicated to young professionals touched on “Transit linkages with new mobility and micro-mobility\, and the survival of both post COVID-19”\, “Smart Cities and Green Mobility”\, “Data Management and Efficient Mobility”\, “Road Safety and Mobility Security – Planning for the Future” and now “Re-imagining Integrated Mobility Management Systems” is the topic for the 5th MMM webinar. \nEuropean speakers include Isabelle Vandoorne (Deputy Head of Unit\, DG MOVE\, European Commission)\, Angelos Amditis (Chair of ERTICO – ITS Europe and Director\, ICCS Research Centre) and Johanna Tzanidaki (Director of Innovation and Deployment\, ERTICO – ITS Europe). \nYou will find the programme here. \nRegister for this webinar here. After registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
