SUMMARY:Trust is a must\, how to deploy CCAM in a safe and trusted manner
DESCRIPTION:Safety is often addressed in CCAM R&I and piloting initiatives with the assumption that it is part of the process to build trust. Numerous large scale demonstrations and pilots are taking place with an objective to test and validate technical developments but are not necessarily addressing the mobility needs of citizens. Beyond raising user awareness\, additional steps are needed to achieve trust. To ensure that society embraces the innovative CCAM solutions that will be developed and deployed\,  these will have to reflect the needs and expectations of future users. \nBuilding on the outcomes of the EUCAD2021 conference\, panellists will discuss the EU ambitions\, lessons learned from EU-funded R&I and shuttle pilot activities\, the role of the CCAM Partnership and how trust can be nurtured from inception to use by involving citizens\, cities and future users in a co-creation process to support the deployment of inclusive\, shared\, human-centric mobility solutions. \nDr Stephane Dreher from ERTICO-ITS Europe will present the results of a meta-analysis of more than 60 Horizon 2020 funded projects on CCAM carried out by partners of the ARCADE support action coordinated by ERTICO with a focus on lessons learned and R&I priorities for trustworthiness and large scale testing. \nPlease use the discount code CCAM to attend this session.

DESCRIPTION:The European project ENSEMBLE-testing multi-brand\, ad-hoc and cross-border platooning in Europe\, is warmly inviting you to a public demonstration in Spain on 23 September 2021. \nA platoon consisting of seven trucks\, one from each leading European manufacturer will drive from a logistics hub to Barcelona harbour. During the physical event\, you will be experiencing a live platooning demonstration and an interesting programme of presentations about platooning and the ENSEMBLE project as a whole. DESCRIPTION:On 30 September\, from 11:30 am till 4:30 pm CET\, SHOW will host its 2nd Pan-European Workshop\n“Which path for a meaningful\, sustainable and feasible CCAM in Europe?” \nAfter 1\,5 years and in preparation of the demonstrations next year\, the SHOW partners have developed vehicle technologies\, physical and digital infrastructure\, business models\, impact assessment methods\, as well as added-value services based on AI and Big Data. But the project has also unveiled challenges that need to be addressed in order to ensure a meaningful deployment of CCAV in terms of technical feasibility and sustainability. \nThe workshop represents an unique opportunity to discuss some of the most pressing challenges and debates that are arising. During the event\, speakers from European and national governmental bodies\, industry\, public authorities and academia will use their concrete experiences from the SHOW project and other initiatives to discuss questions\, such as : \n\nWhat is missing in Europe in terms of regulations\, infrastructure\, manufacturing industries\, or even citizens awareness to achieve a CCAM that we would define as meaningful?\nHow do we want to position Europe in comparison with the strong concurrence coming from the USA or several countries from the Asia-Pacific region?\n\nRegistrations are now open!
