DESCRIPTION:One of ERTICO’s flagship projects is coming to an end in 2022!\nENSEMBLE project final event is planned for Thursday\, 17 March from 10:00 to 15:30. \nDue to the current COVID-19 restrictions for public events in force in Belgium\, the final event will be live-streamed and participants can join the discussion online. \nThe main goal of the ENSEMBLE project is to pave the way for the adoption of multi-brand truck platooning in Europe to improve fuel economy\, traffic safety and throughput. Trucks in a platoon are driven by smart technology and communicate mutually. SUMMARY:SOLUTIONSplus Kick-off webinar: Presenting the second e-course
DESCRIPTION:​The second e-course of the SOLUTIONSplus Global Learning Programme on electric mobility aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the electrification of buses and their integration in cities’ public transport systems. The course is designed for city and regional authorities but can provide a solid knowledge base for any stakeholder involved or interested in e-mobility\, e-buses\, and public transport.\n\n\n\n\n \nThe kick-off webinar will provide key information and guidance about the course\, learning programme and the SOLUTIONSplus project. In addition to the video lectures\, the e-course will include material for self-study\, assignments\, and live virtual exchange sessions to accompany the course enabling interactive discussions with and among participants.\n\n\n\n\n\n \nMany cities around the world\, different in size and geography\, are deploying in increasing numbers e-buses for urban operations\, driven by a shift in transport policy toward environmental concerns and lower technological risk\, thanks to rapid advances in vehicles\, infrastructure and battery technology. This e-learning programme is designed to offer a comprehensive overview of the electric solutions for urban bus networks: from the technology options available and the current deployment of e-buses worldwide to the procurement\, implementation and operation of the system. The SOLUTIONSplus partners\, experts and public transport professionals will provide an international perspective on electric buses and their integration in cities’ public transport systems as well as their experience on successful electric bus project implementations.\n\n\n \n​The 2nd e-course of the global e-learning programme will focus on the Electrification of buses and integration in cities’ public transport systems and run from 17 March to 10 June 2022. It will provide a crash course for organisations from the public sector on the electrification of buses and integration in cities’ public transport systems. DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in exploring CCAM (Connected\, Cooperative\, Automated Mobility) and advancing automated mobility to create a more sustainable world? One of our flagship projects\, SHOW (SHared automation Operating models for Worldwide adoption)\, is proud to invite you to its Hackathon\, taking place in Thessaloniki\, Greece on 21-23 March 2022! \nFunded by the EU\, SHOW is a 4-year long project aiming to support the deployment of shared\, connected and electrified automation in urban transport\, to advance sustainable urban mobility. Gathering 70 partners from across Europe\, SHOW will deploy automated vehicles (AVs) in 20 cities\, making it the largest and most holistic EU project on AVs so far. \nThe SHOW Hackathon is a 3-day event for multinational & multidisciplinary teams of developers\, technology providers\, etc. to brainstorm and develop innovative solutions to increase user acceptance and user benefit of automated mobility\, focusing on three challenges: \n\nHuman assistance stand-by in case of problems (emergencies\, security)\nAdapting/optimising capacity to handle demand in a flexible way\nAccessibility and assistance for persons with reduced mobility\n\nHOW? \n\nA physical event will take place in Thessaloniki\, Greece on 21-23 March 2022 where Teams will pitch their ideas to a specialised Jury and work on their solution with guidance from Mentors.\nBoth designing solutions and developing innovative applications advancing automated mobility with new solutions that will advance user acceptance and passenger benefit\nAppropriate mentoring will be provided to all participants by experienced SHOW Consortium partners and the global Y4PT Team\nDeliberately utilising\, training in and exploring the best aspects of in presence and remote collaboration. DESCRIPTION:Six of ERTICO’ Partnership Projects have been selected to be presented at the EUROPEAN CONFERENCE Results from road transport research in H2020 projects in Brussels from 29th to 30th March 2022. \nThe Conference is organised as a physical event by the European Commission\, ECTRI\, the CCAM PPP and the 2Zero PPP. It gathers selected H2020 funded projects on road transport related areas of Green Vehicles\, Urban Mobility\, Logistics\, Intelligent Transport Systems\, Safety\, and Automated Road Transport. With a strong focus on scientific achievements\, the selected projects will give you an overall picture of the achievements of EU funded research.
