SUMMARY:Webinar EU-CEM Handbook for CCAM – European Common Evaluation Methodology
DESCRIPTION:The EC-funded FAME (Framework for coordination of Automated Mobility in Europe) Action supports the commitment of the European Commission and the CCAM Partnership to provide a long-term coordination framework for R&I and large-scale testing and evaluation activities in Europe. \nAs part of this European framework for testing on public roads\, FAME has developed the European Common Evaluation Methodology for Connected\, Cooperative and Automated Mobility – EU-CEM Handbook for CCAM\, providing guidance for how to lay the foundation for a successful evaluation of CCAM\, particularly impact assessment. EU-CEM aims to ensure high quality evaluation\, which provides reliable input for decision- and policy-making\, for both industry and authorities. \nThe first draft of the EU-CEM handbook was published in May 2024\, followed by a summer school and several workshops to get input for finalising the handbook. In addition\, over 30 experts provided feedback. The complete version of EU-CEM Handbook for CCAM will be published in May 2025 (available here). Using the EU-CEM will make it easier to compare and complement evaluation results from both European and national projects. It provides a common vocabulary to help projects communicate their approaches and findings to the CCAM community and to society. \nThis webinar introduces the EU-CEM handbook content\, and tells how new learnings can be shared in its future updates. The webinar is of interest to anyone involved in evaluating CCAM systems and services\, in existing projects and in proposal writing. \nRegister to the webinar here. \nAgenda \n\nWelcome and agenda – Yvonne Barnard (University of Leeds)\n\n\nIntroduction to FAME – Stephane Dreher (ERTICO\, FAME project coordinator)\n\n\nIntroduction to the EU-CEM – Satu Innamaa (VTT)\n\n\nGuidelines for the project preparation phase – Isabel Wilmink (TNO)\n\n\nGuidelines for how to set an evaluation plan – Satu Innamaa (VTT)\n\n\nEvaluation area specific guidelines – Elina Aittoniemi (VTT)\n\n\nQ&A – Yvonne Barnard (University of Leeds)\n\n\nWrap-up and next steps – Yvonne Barnard (University of Leeds)
