SUMMARY:International Symposium: Navigating the Future of Traffic Management
DESCRIPTION:Registrations for the International Symposium “Navigating the Future of Traffic Management” is now open.  \nA a premier event which brings together managers\, traffic engineers\, practitioners\, and researchers from around the globe\, the  city of Athens from 29 June to 3 July\, the symposium will serve as a dynamic platform to explore and discuss innovative practices\, proven methods\, and how technologies may assist agencies in improving how they actively manage traffic on roads\, freeways\, motorways\, and tollways. \n\n\n\n\nIndustry leaders and specialists from around the globe are invited and will lead discussions on the challenges\, research needs\, innovative approaches\, and opportunities to collaborate with other agencies and service providers to improve how they actively manage and control traffic on the surface transportation system. The challenges lying before us show the need to team up with other international platforms worldwide and look beyond traditional traffic management to improve safety\, facilitate multimodal mobility\, and tackle climate change. \n\nERTICO will actively participate with expertise and insight into many of the thematic tracks during the event\, amongst many:\n\nDr Angelos Amditis\, ERTICO Chairman\, Conference Chair\, and R&D Director of ICCS who will participate in the first Welcome Session on Tuesday 1 July and the 4th panel on ‘Fostering a Global Dialog and Incentives for Agencies to Share Traffic Management Practices and Research’.\nCEO Joost Vantomme will present perspectives of European Data Spaces on Wednesday 2 July in the 3rd panel on ‘Reaching the Destination – Building Blocks Along the Journey’.\n\n\n\n\n\nDiscover the full programme and register here to benefit from the early bird rates until 30 March.

SUMMARY:New project\, PoDIUM is about to kick-off
DESCRIPTION:ERTICO’s new project under the Connected\, Cooperative & Automated Mobility (CCAM) focus area\, PoDIUM\, is kicking off on 20-21 October in Athens. The whole consortium as well as the Project Officer from the European Commission will gather to discuss the project’s first steps. \nPoDIUM aims to identify and assess the connectivity and cooperation enablers and needs to reach higher levels of automation. This will be achieved through the demonstration in real-life conditions of defined CCAM use cases in 3 Living Labs in Germany\, Italy\, and Spain\, in urban\, highway\, and cross-border environments. Using a multi-connectivity approach and an interoperable and hybrid data management environment will contribute to accelerating important technologies in Physical and Digital Infrastructure (PDI) and creating new business ventures.
