SUMMARY:RTR Conference 2024
DESCRIPTION:The highly anticipated RTR (Road Transport Research) Conference 2024 will be held from 5 to 7 February. With the expected participation of 400 attendees\, this year’s event promises to be an important gateway into the realm of EU-funded projects revolutionising the landscape of road transport. \nThe RTR Conference has cemented its position as a premier platform\, paving the way for groundbreaking advancements in road transport. This year’s agenda is designed to provide a comprehensive insight into pivotal areas crucial for the evolution of road transport. From the eco-friendly strides of Green Vehicles to the intricacies of Urban Mobility\, Logistics\, Intelligent Transport Systems\, Safety\, and the ever-evolving domain of Automated Road Transport\, the conference is primed to offer a holistic perspective. \nThe focal point of the RTR 2024 Conference is to propose a vivid picture of the European research landscape\, showcasing its forward trajectory in these vital domains. By unravelling the latest innovations and research breakthroughs of EU-funded projects\, the conference aims to underline the profound benefits these advancements bring to the environment\, the economy\, and the overarching fabric of European society. \nSeveral projects in which ERTICO is involved will be featured in the parallel sessions over the three-day event. Starting on Monday afternoon\, from 16:30\, FAME\, SUNRISE and SINFONICA projects’ outcomes will be discussed during the session 6 “CCAM coordination frameworks\, inclusiveness and societal impact”. On the morning of the next day at 9:30\, the results of the SOLUTIONSplus project will be presented in the session 7A about “Next generation electrified vehicles for urban and suburban use” and\, at the same time\, in session 8A the PoDIUM project will be showcased in the “CCAM and connectivity” session. On Tuesday\, starting at 10:50\, an entire session will be dedicated to discussing CCAM and 5G connectivity featuring the ERTICO-led 5G-MOBIX project and sisters’ initiatives 5GCroCo and 5G Carmen. Later\, the NextETRUCK project will participate in the parallel session 11 on “Medium and heavy-duty vehicles’ developments”\, followed by the V4SAFETY project in session 14 “Crash protection and collision avoidance”\, and the SHOW project in session 17 “CCAM on the roads”\, starting at 16:15. \nThis annual event focusing on results from mature projects is organised by ERTRAC\, the 2Zero and CCAM  Partnerships and the European Commission’s DG for Research and Innovation. It is supported by STREnGth_M (Stimulating road Transport Research in Europe and around the Globe for sustainable Mobility)\, an ERTRAC support action in which ERTICO is a partner. \nAt RTR 2024\, participants can expect an immersive experience\, featuring keynote addresses\, panel discussions\, and interactive sessions facilitated by industry experts and policymakers. This collaborative gathering will foster knowledge exchange\, ideation\, and collaboration\, which are crucial for propelling the road transport sector into a future defined by sustainability\, efficiency\, and safety. \nCheck out the agenda here.

SUMMARY:ERTICO projects at RTR Conference 2023
DESCRIPTION:The next Conference on Results from Road Transport Research is set to take place from 14 to 16 February in Brussels. The RTR Conference has been showcasing the results\, expected impacts and next steps of Horizon2020 EU-funded projects in road transport for the past 6 years. Over 3 days and 16 sessions\, 62 projects will have the opportunity to present their achievements\, including ERTICO projects. \nAndrew Winder\, Project Coordinator and Senior Manager at ERTICO\, will present MODALES in the parallel session “Air quality: from technology to user involvement” on Wednesday 15 February from 09:45 to 12:15. \nOn Thursday 16 February\, you can find out more about the eCharge4Drivers project during the parallel session “AGV – EV charging solutions: get the users on board” from 09:00 to 10:30. The session will be moderated by eCharge4Drivers Project Manager Evangelos Karfopoulos (ICCS). \nThe FAME project\, a key EU-funded initiative strongly connected to the CCAM partnerships and the European Commission will also be there while promoting the upcoming 2023 EUCAD Conference. \nRead more in detail about the event clicking here.

SUMMARY:Conference: High Quality Positioning: A Key to Success for Autonomous Driving
DESCRIPTION:Date: 4th of October 2017\nLocation: BluePoint Brussels\, 80 Bd. A. Reyers https://goo.gl/maps/dX7RERxy6TC2\nJoint organisation with ERTICO\nOrganisers: F. Peyret\, P.-Y. Gilliéron: chair of SaPPART; F. Fischer: ERTICO\n\nConference abstract\nThe deployment of autonomous vehicles is becoming a reality on the European road network and will significantly affect the future liability of different actors in the road and transport sectors. Liability is strongly linked with the trust that you can have in a system\, like a vehicle with advanced driver assistance or automatic driving capabilities. In these applications vehicle positioning is one of the most critical components because most of the decisions are based on the location of the vehicle itself and of other vehicles and objects in its vicinity. \nThis conference is the final event of the EU COST Action” Satellite Positioning Performance Assessment for Road Transport” (SaPPART). At this conference\, the main outcomes of the Action will be presented within the context of very demanding applications such as autonomous driving. \nwww.sappart.net \nIf you have any questions then please contact Francois Fischer f.fischer@mail.ertico.com
