Hannelore Kraft, Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia, paid tribute to the safety advances made by staff at Ford’s Aachen Research Centre during a tour of the facility yesterday.
Kraft visited Aachen to find out first-hand about Ford research into car-to-infrastructure networking, and to see technologies such as Active City Stop in action.
“If communication between vehicles and information is networked, then it is possible to drastically reduce the number of road accidents,” said Kraft. “Ford’s work is an important component in the automotive development landscape and a testament to the quality of the research and innovation at Aachen.”
