Capacity building activities, including training programmes, are an important aspect of the SOLUTIONSplus project, which works towards a long-lasting transition to low-carbon urban mobility. To achieve this, the project has organised various webinars, peer-to-peer exchange sessions, regional trainings, and launched a global e-learning programme on electric mobility, sharing knowledge and practical expertise to cities, public authorities and a broader audience.
After two successful e-courses in 2021 and 2022 on electric mobility and on the electrification of buses and their integration in cities’ public transport systems, the third SOLUTIONSplus e-course on Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) just finished at the end of February. Led by ERTICO, POLIS and SWARCO, the e-course provided an introduction to the MaaS concept and its role in making mobility more sustainable.
The kick-off webinar of the e-course held on 17 January attracted 100 participants from 39 countries interested in this training programme. In total, 157 participants signed up and followed the e-course on the Mobility Academy platform over six weeks. 33 participants successfully submitted all assignments of the e-course and received a certificate. In the post-training survey, all the respondents judged the content to be ‘relevant’ or ‘very relevant’ to their daily work, studies or interests.
All the training videos of the third e-course are now available to anyone interested in learning more about MaaS on the Mobility Academy website and on the SOLUTIONSplus YouTube channel.
