On the fourth day of the 30th ITS World Congress in Dubai, ERTICO and China ITS Industry Alliance strengthened the strategic partnership to foster greater cooperation in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems and Services (ITS). This agreement signifies a commitment to address shared mobility challenges and leverage opportunities for innovation and sustainable development in Europe and China.
The collaboration will continue to promote issues of mutual interest and advance knowledge exchange among their respective memberships. Both regions recognise the critical need for harmonised standards across the ITS industry at a global level, including the importance of more emphasis on research and development.
This partnership will also facilitate joint efforts to promote innovation and support the technical exchange of start-ups, contributing to the evolution of sustainable and intelligent transportation solutions. They also reaffirmed their commitment to coordinate delegations of stakeholders from both regions and will continue exploring key topics such as low-altitude intelligent traffic, integrated transportation systems, intelligent and connected traffic, artificial intelligence, big data, and carbon neutrality technologies in transportation.
This strengthened partnership between ERTICO and the China ITS Industry Alliance marks a significant step toward a more collaborative and innovative future for Intelligent Transport Systems on a global scale.
