On 13, 14 and 15 September, ERTICO – ITS Europe, on behalf of the consortium, will hold the kick off meeting of the European project AEOLIX.

AEOLIX, co-funded under the Horizon 2020 Programme, will develop a digital ecosystem to better manage, plan and synchronise freight and logistics operations across Europe. By enabling low complexity and low cost connectivity of local ICT platforms and systems and thereby scalable, trusted and secure exchange of information, AEOLIX will improve the overall competitiveness of goods transport in the supply chain, while simultaneously targeting sustainability from environmental, economic and social perspectives.

With a consortium of 33 companies and organisations, the project involves shippers, transport companies, service providers, terminal operators, public authorities, and support industry such as ICT, finance, legal, manufacturers. AEOLIX platform will be implemented in 11 Living Labs whose locations directly linked to the TEN-T network nodes across Europe.

On 13 September, AEOLIX will open the door to freight and logistics experts with presentations from executives of DG MOVE, INEA, ERTICO, MONDELEZ, IRU, T-Systems, International Port Community Systems Association (IPCSA), World Customs Organisation (WCO) and the presence of Consortium Members such as Kuehne Nagel, Unilever, Mondelez Int, IRU, ATOS, PTV, T-systems, Port of Hamburg, Jan de Rijk Logistics, NTEX, COOP, GIVENTIS, Geoloc systems, TEAMNET, IHORKS, CERTH/HIT, Chalmers Ins, ICOOR, AUSTRIATECH, CTAG, CEAGA, NOVACOM, CEREMA, Chamber of Commerce Thessaloniki, SEVE, TX Logistics, CONNEKT, Smart freight centre, Northamptoshire Uni, SAMER, FERNETTI, HOLM.
