According to Today’s Trucking, the government of Canada and the province of New Brunswick are to provide over $200,000 to support new ITS projects in the country.

According to the report, “one of the major projects this money will go to is creating the Commercial Vehicle Preclearance System, which will bring down the number of times vehicles need to stop at inspection stations.”

Money is also to be allocated for a “Provincial ITS Architecture planning document”, which is to be used to identify ways to improve integration and information sharing.
