Connected Places Catapult has signed an agreement with UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme), to work across Kenya and South Africa to tackle urbanisation challenges through equitable partnerships between UK-based and African entrepreneurs.
The partnership was signed by Connected Places Catapult (CPC) CEO, Nicola Yates OBE, and Rafael Tuts Director, Global Solutions Division at UN-Habitat at the 2020 World Urban Forum in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the world’s premier conference on cities.
The partnership is part of CPC’s African Urban Links project, which will offer high-growth SMEs an opportunity to deploy innovative technologies to help solve key, high-priority challenges in cities within Kenya and South Africa, and to connect with senior stakeholders in these African cities.
