The European project FABRIC (Feasibility analysis and development for on-road charging solutions for future electric vehicles – www.fabric-project.eu) is in its final year and as part of its assessment phase it is organising a half-day workshop on Deployment Scenarios for dynamic charging of Electric Vehicles (EVs).
Its aim is to improve and validate the different deployment scenarios for the most promising on-road EV charging (dynamic charging) solutions as defined by the FABRIC partnership during its three and a half years of leading research. The dynamic charging solutions analysed by FABRIC focus mainly on wireless inductive charging, but conductive charging is also considered. Different scenarios are covered such as inter-urban motorways and urban situations, with light vehicles, heavy trucks and buses.
The event will be held in conjunction with the 12th Intelligent Transport Systems European Congress in Strasbourg (Palais de la Musique et des Congrès), on Monday 19 June 2017 at 10:00 to 13:15, prior to the opening of the ITS Congress (note that the workshop is not part of the ITS Congress programme).
