Today is the first day of the 2012 edition of the Transport Research Arena Conference, the bi-yearly top transport research event in Europe. The Conference seeks to reflect the multidisciplinary nature of the transport sector and focuses on all aspects of all surface transport modes with the exception of overseas shipping.
eCoMove is present with a demonstrator on the European Commission stand and two papers presented in the conference programme. This morning, the European Commissioner for Research & Technological Development has enjoyed a testdrive on the joint eCoMove-Freilot simulator which showed him the potential fuel savings to be realised thanks to these future applications.

TRA 2012 is co-organized by the European Commission, the Greek Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks, the Conference of European Directors of Roads, the European Road Transport Research Advisory Council, the European Rail Research Advisory Council and the European Technology Platform WATERBORNE.
