Ericsson and the Turkish operator Turkcell jointly developed and deployed a Smart Parking Lot solution that will make life easy for drivers who are looking for a parking spot.
The solution speeds up the entry to and exit from carparks by facilitating payment procedures and makes it possible for drivers to not only find available parking spaces but also make reservations, all by means of a smartphone application. The Smart Parking Lot solution has been deployed by Turkcell over its 4.5G network. The solution is currently serving the carpark of Turkcell’s headquarters in Istanbul and will soon be generally available for Turkcell subscribers.
Furthermore, thanks to this new solution, the two companies were awarded the Best End to End IoT Solution award at the Internet of Things World Europe event in London.
