In less than a week, we will be heading towards Los Angeles for the 28th ITS World Congress 2022 to experience ‘Transformation by Transportation’. This year, ERTICO will welcome attendees to an energetic atmosphere at the ERTICO ‘European Pavilion’, showcasing 11 of our European co-funded projects and innovation platforms from the four focus areas: Connected, Cooperative & Automated Mobility, Urban Mobility, Clean & Eco-Mobility and Transport & Logistics. We will also invite visitors, delegates, and other exhibitors to explore the next ITS European Congress, hosted in Lisbon from 22 – 24 May 2023, and discover the 30th ITS World Congress in the EMEA region, hosted in Dubai from 16 – 20 September 2024. To complete the ERTICO ‘European Pavilion’, four ITS Nationals organisations from the European Network of ITS National Association will present some of Europe’s most innovative smart mobility solutions. The ITS World Congress in LA brings together world leaders, practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and private industry to advance and unite the intelligent transportation systems (ITS) industry. ERTICO has been a strong supporter of the World Congresses hosted in America and Asia-Pacific, and this time is no different. Discover Future ITS Congresses in Europe & EMEA Region

The ITS Congresses are the means for the ITS Community to keep pace with the incredible evolution in the industry, particularly as seen more recently. With their up-to-date Programme and Demonstrations that strongly embrace the latest in smart mobility and the digitalisation of transport, these events offer both learning possibilities and opportunities to network with some of the most active players in the industry.

ERTICO will welcome attendees to discover the many opportunities with potential partners and exhibitors for the 2023 ITS European Congress in Lisbon, bringing together close to 3,000 industry stakeholders to exchange knowledge and share experiences over innovative mobility and Intelligent Transport Systems. Next year’s  ‘European Congress will explore how Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) is changing mobility – and lives with its suitable theme ‘ITS: The Game Changer’. This dedicated theme and the five Congress topics mirror Lisbon’s great efforts to fight climate change. Two years ago, the city was awarded the European Green Capital, and today, the host city has committed 40% of its yearly mobility budget to climate change. The ERTICO Congress team is also looking forward to meeting with Dubai’s Roads and Transportation Authority in LA to jointly introduce the 2024 ITS World Congress. The hosting of the ITS World Congress in Dubai comes to light after a significant step made by the city to advance ITS as witnessed by the portfolio of smart projects undertaken by RTA.

European sessions with ERTICO participation 

The 2022 ITS World Congress in Los Angeles will also bring another great opportunity for ERTICO experts to share knowledge and exchange ideas with the ITS Community in the global arena. They will do so by contributing to Special Interest Sessions (SIS), Plenary Sessions, International and Regional Fora and Workshops, reflecting the work done through projects and joint initiatives within the ERTICO partnership.
