Innovation and Deployment activities play a key role in ERTICO’s work to make mobility smarter, safer and cleaner. Through diverse activities with EU-funded projects and innovation platforms, ERTICO holds a unique position in the Intelligent Transport Systems and Services (ITS) ecosystem. The ITS Congresses create an open forum for innovative progress and for many years, ERTICO Projects have been showcased at various Congresses across the globe. This year is no different, ERTICO will present some of its Partnership Projects and Innovation Platforms at the ITS European Congress in Toulouse, 30 May – 1 June 2022.

Since the ITS Congresses are the yearly celebration of smart mobility, they underline the importance of ITS and represent an ideal channel through which ERTICO fosters cooperation with the international industry community. ERTICO ensures that the themes of the ITS Congresses challenge, deepen and support current and future ERTICO activities, including activities and priorities in the areas of Connected, Cooperative & Automated MobilityUrban MobilityClean and Eco-Mobility and Transport & Logistics. This year, at the ITS European Congress in Toulouse under the theme: ‘Smart and Sustainable Mobility for All’, ERTICO will present 12 projects and innovation platforms at the stand E11.

ERTICO will demonstrate its activities in the focus area of CCAM to showcase that the future of mobility is connected, cooperative and automated, including three of its flagship projects, 5GMETA, 5G-MOBIX and NAPCORE as well as a new project on European Automated Valet Parking (EAVP) but also one of ERTICO’s first innovation platform, ARCADE.

Making mobility smarter and safer, is a key priority to ERTICO’s second focus area, Clean and Eco-Mobility. By working towards reducing CO2 emissions as well as pollution, two of the leading projects in this field will be presented: eCharge4Drivers and MODALES.

ERTICO also aims to make Urban Mobility safer, more efficient, cleaner and equitable by promoting the deployment of new and innovative technologies while making better use of data to further understand and integrate multiple modes of transport and manage infrastructure better. From this focus area, the four-year project SHOW, including 69 partners and 20+ European cities and organisations in North America, Asia, and Australasia will be presented to showcase integrating fleets of automated vehicles in public transport, demand-responsive transport (DRT), MaaS, and Logistics as a Service (LaaS) schemes.

ERTICO and its Partners also play an active role in connecting the dots in Transport and Logistics. By combining innovation and smarter technical solutions with the right policies and operational activities for every stage of the movement of goods, ERTICO aims to contribute to an industry that is clean, efficient and more sustainable. At the ITS Toulouse Congress, 5G-LOGINNOV and FENIX Network, two of ERTICO’s key projects in this focus area will be presented.

Lastly, the ERTICO City Moonshot initiative and ERTICO Academy will also be showcased during the Congress. In the meantime, learn more about our activities in the different focus areas and make sure to register to attend the ITS European Congress in Toulouse.

Beyond the presence of these projects and platforms at the ERTICO stand, there will be several sessions and other activities – stay tuned to learn more about these in the coming days.
