ERTICO launches two new projects: CulturalRoad & EvoRoads
May 14 - May 22
ERTICO is preparing to launch not just one, but two new projects: CulturalRoad and EvoRoads. Both led by ERTICO, these initiatives aim to bring transformative changes in the understanding of diversity linked to Cooperative, Connected, and Autonomous Mobility (CCAM) deployment and the approach to road infrastructure and safety.
CulturalRoad Kick-off: 14-15 May
CulturalRoad aims to foster equitable deployment of CCAM services by employing an innovative participatory approach involving all stakeholders and local communities in the development of CCAM implementation plans, taking into account diversity linked to cultural, geographical, and exogenous aspects. This method aims to ensure that CCAM planning is tailored to specific environments and mobility needs. In addition, the project will develop a unique Five-Pointed Star Rating System to evaluate CCAM equity in specific contexts, assessing safety, inclusivity, user acceptance, network readiness, and psychological factors. This will ensure local needs are met and will facilitate comparisons across cultures, supports the development of transferable CCAM deployment roadmaps. The CulturalRoad concept will be tested in five demonstration sites.
EvoRoads Kick-off: 21-22 May
EvoRoads is committed to achieve the Vision Zero EU objective by establishing safety criteria and methodologies for quantifying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the entire spectrum of the “Safe System” approach. It also creates a connectivity platform where transport infrastructure assets are digitised, and safety assessment services operate harmoniously. Advanced AI-powered analytics will be developed to integrate infrastructure monitoring data across various geospatial resolutions, providing proactive risk warning services and aiding road operators in maintenance management. This approach would be validated through four thematic demonstrations targeting diverse road user groups in both urban and rural settings.
Stay tuned to learn more about these two new exciting projects!
