Joint C-ITS Deployment – The Amsterdam Group

During the past two years, the Amsterdam Group has established its reputation as one of the key players for fostering the deployment of C-ITS in Europe. In this strategic alliance, the four umbrella organisations ASECAP (Association of operators of toll road infrastructures), the CAR 2 CAR Communication Consortium, CEDR (Conference of European Directors of Roads) and POLIS (European Cities and Regions Networking for Innovative Transport Solutions) work together and therefore represent a close cooperation between the automotive industry and road authorities/operators.

C-ITS will enable the exchange of real-time information in a vehicle-infrastructure network to support road safety, traffic efficiency and sustainable travel beyond the scope of stand-alone systems. The goal of the Webinar is to share and to discuss the Road Map developed by the Amsterdam Group with other stakeholders and interested organisations. The Webinar summarises the discussions and results on the Road Map achieved during the workshop of interested stakeholders and the European Commission on 25 September 2013.
Due to the great awareness the Amsterdam Group and the dedicated workshop have received, the Amsterdam Group members invite interested stakeholders and experts who could not attend the workshop to the free webinar presenting the Roadmap for Day One deployment of C-ITS.
The agenda of the webinar will address the following items:

• Road map strategy of the Amsterdam Group
• Are we ready for deployment and what is missing?
• Cooperative ITS corridor
• French corridor pilot SCOOP
