From 26 – 28 May 2014, transport policy thinkers, shapers and decision makers will discuss with you in Berlin how new concepts can create more integration for existing modes of transport. Currently, we are experiencing a changing mobility behaviour: more and more people are using public transport or cycling instead of taking the car. This strengthening of integrated environmental-friendly transport is a positive development. However, are our cities and municipalities truly ready for the further development of existing transport modes?

Under the theme Join up thinking – create intelligent movements you will be involved in lectures of:

• Mary Crass, Head of Policy and Summit Preparation at the OECD
• Dr Peter Ramsauer, former Transport Minister of Germany and Member of the German Bundestag
• Prof. Luis Antonio Lindau, President and Director of EMBARQ Brazil and others.

On day two, speakers will provide insight into current projects. The wide range of issues covers strategic transportation planning, real-time simulation and traffic forecasts as part of traffic management. Enhance your knowledge on day three by participating in our workshops. Learn in technical workshops how you are getting your transport model ready for real-time simulation or how you are how to develop an accident prediction model. Moreover we will offer a range of non-technical workshops such as developing Bus Rapid Transit, women in transport issues or communicating transport.
