German public transport companies win eco awards

Two German public transport companies have been honoured with international environmental awards for their successful projects in the field of electric buses for transport and logistics.

Leipzig’s public transport operator, Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe (LVB), won the ‘Concepts for employee motivation, training and safety’ category in the 2014 EBUS Award for its innovative training that prepares staff on how to handle new electric bus technology and high-voltage systems.
