“Experience Future Mobility Now” is the theme of the next ITS World Congress, the world’s most prominent event about smart mobility and the digitalisation of transport, organised by ERTICO – ITS Europe and hosted by City of Hamburg, Germany, from 11 to 15 October 2021.
On 3 March 2020, ERTICO and the City of Hamburg hosted an Open Day, at the Hamburg Messe, welcoming influential policy makers, industry key opinion leaders and decision maker representatives from the mobility sector.
The Open Day was the occasion for all attendees and stakeholders to learn more about what to expect from the ITS World Congress 2021, its desired programmatic outcomes, networking highlights, commercial opportunities and planned live demonstrations.
“The ITS Congress in Hamburg is shaping up to be an extraordinary event, also thanks to the organisation already undergoing”, says Jacob Bangsgaard, ERTICO’s CEO. “With its latest plans and projects, Hamburg is becoming one of the role models for smart cities in Europe. I am looking forward to the great display of smart mobility that the Congress will be featuring.”
Participants have shown a high interest in the ITS World Congress’ activities, and especially for the commercial partnership aspect. The thought-leadership and lead generation opportunities are particularly relevant, as they will enable sponsors and exhibitors to build and maintain relationships with delegates prior to, onsite and after the event next year.
“The Open Day gave an insight into our preparation for a World Congress that will be outstanding and regarding experiencing future mobility, our congress facilities and projects already realized in our city.” Commented Harry Evers, Managing Director of ITS Hamburg 2021 GmbH
The Hamburg edition aims at being a true global success story putting together innovation, business opportunities, latest technologies and networking, thanks to the support from the industry stakeholders and the public authorities.
“We are looking forward to welcoming you in October 2021. Hamburg is very ambitious to host the best ITS World Congress for years and to be a great platform to discuss future mobility solutions.” Concluded Martin Huber, Director-General for Transport and Roads, Hamburg’s Ministry of Economy, Transport and Innovation.
