Public transport in the Moravian-Silesian region of the Czech Republic has begun gradually phasing out paper tickets, while phasing a new smart card system.
The new card allows commuters to travel anywhere in the region without having to purchase separate tickets.
In 2014 student paper tickets were replaced with the electronic card, and in February 2015 yearly and half-yearly paper tickets become obsolete.
