New electro-mobility solutions are supportive of the Paris Agreement, the Sustainable Development Goals, the New Urban Agenda and ERTICO’s clean and urban mobility roadmaps and are highlighted as some of the key decarbonisation solutions in the European Green Deal. In order to develop this solutions, cooperation between cities world-wide, industry and innovators is key.

SOLUTIONSplus brings together highly committed cities, industry, research, implementing organisations and finance partners and establishes a global platform for shared, public and commercial e-mobility solutions to kick start the transition towards low-carbon urban mobility.

One of the key activities of SOLUTIONSplus is the collaboration with start-ups, SMEs and industry partners to co-develop e-mobility solutions that can generate economic opportunities across the partner regions. In doing so, the project will engage and support start-ups to contribute to innovative business models and plans with the SOLUTIONSplus Start-up incubator. The start-up incubator is led by ERTICO, in close cooperation with FIER, and will leverage the ERTICO start-ups initiative and its concept of “Connect. Innovate. Grow”.

The incubator’s activities have already started, with the recruitment of innovators in the partner regions and the gathering of the first rounds of needs assessment. After the official launch of the incubator, currently scheduled for the 7 June, the start-up hub section of the website will be updated with all the relevant information.

The SOLUTIONSplus Start-up incubator will also be an integrated part of the ITS World Congress in Hamburg in October; it will showcase its activties in the start-up exhibition area, the innovation hub within the Congress, providing a platform for young entrepreneurs to promote their business ideas, participating in pitching sessions and attending panel discussions.

Whilst you are waiting for the SOLUTIONSplus incubator’s updates, have a look at the project brochure to know more about the project and its activities.
