ERTICO is delighted to announce that SAENA, the Saxon Energy Agency based in Germany, has joined its Partnership. This new collaboration will extend ERTICO’s network to another key player in the Public Authorities sector.

SAENA’s focus in the ITS sector, including e-mobility and multimodal transportation, will truly support ERTICO’s efforts to connect the dots between its Partners and key stakeholders across the different sectors as well as ERTICO’s various activities in clean, eco – and urban mobility” says Joost Vantomme, ERTICO CEO.
“SAENA as the energy agency of the Free State of Saxony in Germany is very happy to join ERTICO, an international key player in the ITS community that brings stakeholders from various sectors in smart mobility together to develop, promote and deploy ITS in Europe,” says Marcel Kolling, Project Manager at the Efficient Mobility Saxony.
SAENA’s work focuses on e-mobility, ITS, H2 mobility, public transport and multimodality and transformation of the automotive industry. Its main aim is to support the conservation of resources and preserve the basis of life for future generations through active climate protection and increasing energy efficiency as elements of public services.
“Acting on behalf of the Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport, SAENA supports and coordinates activities in innovative and sustainable mobility such as ITS and e-mobility. Being the organisational coordinator of ITS testbed activities in Saxony (e.g. Digital Testbed Dresden), SAENA represents the central contact point for any kind of requests in terms of ITS infrastructure. Furthermore, SAENA supports Saxon stakeholders in their ITS activities by initialising projects, establishing collaboration, organising events, networking with external partners as well as promoting competencies,” says Marcel Kolling, Project Manager at the Efficient Mobility Saxony.
