A bank in Serbia has purchased seven electric cars, the first time that a company or institution in the country is providing environmentally friendly cars for its employees.

The supply of the vehicles was in accordance with the business policy of the bank, which is to promote the use of sustainable energy and lessen its environmental impact.

Although there is no charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in Serbia, the bank is installing its own charging points and planning to work with stakeholders to develop charging stations.

‘Investing in projects which aim to protect the environment and use renewable energy sources is an inseparable part of ProCredit Bank’s activities and we are finding new ways of realizing it, whether on our own or through partnerships with local communities, all the time,’ said Ivan Smiljković, a member of the executive board.
