Do you have an idea based on satellite navigation? Submit your idea now for the European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC)! The prize pool is worth EUR 1 Mio – including cash prizes business incubation coaching patent consulting prototyping and marketing support access to customers and user communities and publicity. More than 30 prizes are waiting to be won!

Get support by the largest network in satellite navigation with 24 partner regions worldwide and sponsoring partners such as the European GNSS Agency (GSA) the European Space Agency (ESA) the German Aerospace Center (DLR) HPI Fleet & Mobility and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). This is also the first year in which the European Commission is funding the competition’s prize pool and NOKIA Location & Commerce will be providing further support to the competition.

For the ninth time ESNC recognises the best ideas in the field of satellite navigation. You are working at a company or a research institute you are a student or your work independently? Then be part of the ESNC 2012 everyone is welcome to join the international ideas competition! This year we award 24 regional prizes 5 special prizes and 2 prototyping prizes! All winners will be honoured at an Awards Ceremony and an official state reception at the Munich Residenz in October.

Take your chance to get your idea promoted! Submit your application idea before 30 June at www.galileo-masters.eu. Apply for a regional prize now! In addition you can submit your idea for a special or prototyping prize. Among them we award the following prizes:

  • The European GNSS Agency (GSA) is looking for the most promising applications and solutions for the European “GPS augmentation system” EGNOS. The winner will receive six months of support at an European incubation centre of their choice (valued up to EUR 20000) with a possible extension to 12 months (total possible prize up to EUR 40000 value)
  • The European Space Agency (ESA) – represented by its Technology Transfer Programme – will be awarding the ESA Innovation Prize. The winner will receive EUR 10000 for the best business idea that can be immediately implemented and quickly nurtured into a profitable business through the creation of a start-up company at one of the six ESA Business Incubation Centres (ESA BICs) or other incubators in the European Space Incubators Network (ESINET).
  • Following the theme “SMART NAVIGATION – with Enriched Constellations” the German Aerospace Center (DLR) wants to see what new procedures methods and application ideas ESNC participants can devise in three categories: “GNSS Multi Constellations” “Robust by Design” and “Integrated Applications”. The winner will receive five person-months of technical support from DLR (a EUR 50000 value).
