On the 17th of February, the first ITS European Congress Open Day was held in Glasgow. Opened by the Host and Organisers, Glasgow City Council, Transport for Scotland and ERTICO ITS-Europe, the Open Day provided an excellent opportunity to meet the Congress organising team, learn more about the format of the Congress and the possibilities available as a sponsor, demonstrator or exhibitor.
The presentations outlining the different aspects of the Congress, were followed by a lively Q&A about requirements for organising a demonstration or for sponsoring – notably of the social events, the student programme or speaking opportunities at the event itself. The Open Day included also a visit to the Congress facilities at the SECC.
Didier Gorteman, Congress Director at ERTICO commented: “This is the first Open Day we have organised and I am glad that people were very interested. We hope that they left with more insight about the different opportunities to make the most out of their participation at the Congress.”
