The city of Reykjavík is to focus on a number of urban mobility measures to lower the amount of greenhouse gases produced by its transport system and meet its ambitious climate goals.
In its recently released climate policy the city commits to being carbon neutral by 2040.
Reykjavík identifies transport as its largest challenge, and its target is to shift the ratio of motor vehicle traffic to 58 per cent, public transport to 12 per cent, and walking and cycling to 30 per cent by 2030
