Within the context of the IRU’s Taxi! Anytime Anywhere initiative and building on its values of safety and environmental performance IRU Projects has received funding from the European Commission’s Lifelong Learning Programme to participate in “Taxistars” – a 36-month project that will develop Information and Communication Technology (ICT) based training materials and training programmes to assist taxi drivers in learning the necessary skills to deal with road and workplace safety emergency situations and environmental issues such as eco-driving. IRU Projects will work in close cooperation with the IRU Academy and other partners from across Europe.
