This special issue is dedicated to the 4th European Road Safety Day which took place on 25 July 2012 in Nicosia (Cyprus). The conference was organised by the European Commission the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union (Ministry of Communications and Works) and the Cyprus Youth Organisation for Road Safety REACTION.
The conference focused on young people and road safety. Representatives of youth groups and road safety officials and organisations from all EU countries and neighbouring regions were invited. The conference gave participants the opportunity to exchange views share good practices and propose practical steps – at national and regional level – to make young people safer on the road.
