It’s been a while since we last brought you details of new HERE WeGo transit updates, but behind the scenes we’ve been working on transit directions for locations all around the world. Coverage has increased across entire countries, regions and cities, supporting more than 1,300 global destinations.

Our last big update saw a focus on increasing rural coverage across the US, while the past few months have seen HERE working hard on transit directions throughout France.

Thanks to some complex negotiations, new French regions include Haute Garonne and Carcassonne, along with Evreux and Loire Atlantique. Nice and Orne are now also included, and you can enjoy transit directions for Lille, one of the biggest French cities.

The update sees Munich in Germany get real-time transit coverage, and other new European locations include Sofia in Bulgaria, Paphos in Cyprus, Kotominia and Chania in Greece, Olbia and Nuoro in Italy, Lisbon and Setubal in Portugal, and Alicante and Cáceres in Spain.

Additionally, in Spain, long distance rail travel is now included too, as national railway operator RENFE is a new source of transit information.

We’ve put a lot of time and resources into gathering transit information all across Eastern Europe, particularly in Poland with support for Warsaw and Wrocław. Ljubjana in Slovenia and Pécs and Miskolc in Hungary are other big wins.

Outside Europe, you’ll be able to get transit information in Windsor, Roanoke and Saskatoon in North America, Bage and Itabuna in Brazil, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Manila in the Philippines.

If you use HERE WeGo, HERE transit directions for the new areas are automatically added to your app’s capabilities, so you don’t need to do anything to take advantage of these additions.
