Yunex Traffic has become an official service partner for ABB E-mobility’s charging stations in Germany. The agreement includes nationwide service provision in commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Reliable service is key to the successful expansion of the EV charging infrastructure in Germany.
Yunex Traffic is a global leader in traffic technology. The company benefits from decades of experience in the maintenance and repair of infrastructure, as well as a nationwide network of professionally trained service employees. Since Yunex Traffic’s services are hardware-independent, they can be tailored to the specific needs of charging station manufacturers and operators.
“Yunex Traffic has years of experience in the commissioning, maintenance, and service of EV charging stations, and aims to ensure maximum availability. Thanks to their nationwide setup, quick response times can be achieved. This was a decisive criterion in choosing our service partners,” said Mark Knechtle, Head of Field Service at ABB E-mobility Germany.
“Cars remain the preferred mode of transport in Germany. To support the transition to more sustainable mobility, we need to focus on EV charging infrastructure. As ABB E-mobility’s new service partner, we are helping ensure that charging stations in Germany operate reliably and meet the needs of users. We look forward to working with ABB E-mobility to strengthen trust in Germany’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure,” said Nils Schmidt, Managing Director of Yunex Traffic Germany.
There are currently 125,000 public charging points for electric vehicles in Germany. According to the latest report from the National Infrastructure Steering Committee 2025/2030, between 380,000 and 680,000 public charging points will be needed by 2030, representing at least a threefold increase from the current installed base. The German government has set a goal of installing 1 million public charging points by 2030. To successfully expand public charging points, it is essential to ensure reliable service.
The Yunex Traffic service team has already commissioned several charging stations, successfully handled troubleshooting, and taken over maintenance.
