The deadline for applying for the EC’s calls on linking urban transport nodes under its Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) is just over one month away.
A total of € 75m is available for organisations involved in or with a city that is part of the core Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).
The multi-annual call, with € 50m available for urban nodes (studies, pilots, and deployments), is based on CEF Transport Funding Objective 3.
This aims at optimising the integration and interconnection of transport modes and enhancing the interoperability of transport services, while ensuring the accessibility of transport infrastructures.
The € 25m annual call available for urban nodes (mainly for studies and pilots) addresses objectives which reflect transport infrastructure development/transport policy priorities of a shorter term nature, less mature, reduced in scope and for more diffuse in coverage.
The deadline for submitting applications is Thursday 26 February 2015. Applicants are strongly advised to demonstrate the European added-value of their projects.
Examples of added-value include: projects that help connect two corridors of the core network; that cover transport in the last miles of a corridor; or that connect stations of different transport modes, such as rail and air.
