The presidency reached a provisional agreement with the European Parliament on revised rules for truck and bus drivers designed to help them move between EU countries for work purposes. This agreement aims also at helping transport companies hiring qualified workers, sets conditions for minimum age requirements and exemptions from any mandatory additional training received in another EU country.
The agreement still needs to be endorsed by member states ‘governments.
