The deputy mayor of the municipality of Heraklion late last month signed a financing agreement for its Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan.

The contract was signed after a detailed proposal submitted by Heraklion in November 2016 to Greece’s Green Fund to raise funding with the aim of developing a modern SUMP.

The proposal was positively evaluated and the amount of funding amounts to € 155 000, the second largest amount given to a city in Greece after Athens.
