Luxembourg’s minister for sustainable development and infrastructure is planning to launch a carpooling initiative to help alleviate the heavy traffic experienced in some parts of the country.

Earlier this month during parliamentary questions, François Bausch told fellow members of parliament that he hopes the test phase of a new carpooling app will start from June 2017.

This date coincides with the end of roaming tariffs in the European Union, which will help the many commuters that travel to work in Luxembourg from neighbouring countries.
